View MoreWhat is Shower
A shower, also known as a shower valve or shower mixer, is a plumbing fixture designed to control the flow and temperature of water in a shower. A shower is a device that combines the functionality of a water control valve and a showerhead. It regulates the water flow and temperature, allowing users to adjust the shower to their preferred settings. Shower can be simple or complex, with various styles and functionalities to suit different preferences and bathroom designs.
Material of shower
Stainless Steel shower faucet: Stainless steel has high strength and corrosion resistance, so stainless steel shower faucets are quite popular in the market. However, the price of stainless steel shower faucets is relatively high, and the processing is difficult, which also limits its popularity in the market.
ABS shower faucet: ABS is an engineering plastic with processing performance and wear resistance. ABS shower faucets have beautiful appearance and moderate price, so they occupy a certain share in the market. But compared with metal materials, ABS faucets are slightly less durable.
Copper chrome-plated shower faucet: Copper chrome-plated shower faucet combines the corrosion resistance of copper and the beauty of chrome plating, becoming the mainstream product in the market. Copper has good thermal conductivity and processing performance, while chrome plating can effectively prevent copper oxidation and increase the service life of the product.
Zinc Alloy shower faucet: Zinc Alloy shower faucet has high strength and corrosion resistance, and the price is relatively low. But the wear resistance of alloy faucets is poor, and they are prone to scratches and wear.
Electroplating process
The electroplating process is to attach a layer of metal film to the metal surface through electrolysis to improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and beauty of the product. In the production of shower faucets, the electroplating process is crucial.
Plating composition: The electroplated button layer usually includes nickel plating, chrome plating, zinc plating, etc. These plating layers can be used alone or in multiple layers to improve the performance of the product.
Three-layer electroplating process: The shower electroplating process mainly uses three-layer electroplating technology. The is the bottom copper plating, which plays the role of sealing the substrate and increasing adhesion; the second is the middle nickel plating. The multi-layer nickel plating process is more common in high-end products and can achieve anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion effects; the last is the surface chrome plating. The chrome layer has high stability in the air and can maintain the surface gloss for a long time.

Shower Selection
1. Look at the spray effect
From the outside, the shapes of showerheads look similar. When choosing, you must look at their spray effect. A good shower can ensure that each small spray hole sprays evenly and consistently, and can ensure a refreshing shower effect under different water pressures. When choosing, you can test the water to see if the spray flow is uniform.
2. Look at the water discharge method
The internal design of the showerhead is also different. When choosing a showerhead, in addition to looking at its spray effect, you also need to know that the water discharge methods of the shower are divided into jet and massage. Generally, the water discharge method can bring a more ideal shower pleasure. The showerhead can choose the appropriate spray mode according to your mood: natural and comfortable rain shower, energetic massage, comfortable and warm spray, refreshing and soft water column, and water-saving dripping.
3. Look at the surface coating
The surface of the shower is generally chrome-plated. A good coating can be maintained at a high temperature of 150C° for 1 hour without bubbling, wrinkling, cracking or peeling. It will not corrode in the 24-hour acetic acid salt spray test. When choosing, you can look at its glossiness and smoothness. A bright and smooth shower head indicates that the coating is uniform and the quality is good.
4. Look at the shower valve core
The valve core affects the use experience and service life of the shower head. A good shower uses a ceramic valve core, which is smooth and frictionless. When choosing, you can turn the switch manually. A comfortable and smooth feel can ensure that the product maintains smooth and reliable performance during use.
5. Look at the shower accessories
Shower accessories will directly affect its comfort, and special attention should be paid. For example, whether the water pipe and lifting rod are flexible, how is the anti-bending ability of the shower hose and steel wire, whether there is a ball bearing for anti-twisting at the shower head connection, and whether there is a rotation controller on the lifting rod.
How to Installing Shower
Installing a shower can be a simple DIY project if you have some basic plumbing skills and tools. Here are some steps to guide you through the installation process:
1.Turn off the water supply: Before starting the installation, turn off the water supply to the shower. Locate the shut-off valve in the water supply line and turn it clockwise to shut off the water.
2.Remove the old faucet: Remove the old shower faucet by unscrewing the mounting screws and prying off the cover plate. Then, unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the faucet from the wall.
3.Install the new valve: Install the new valve by attaching it to the water supply line and securing it to the wall with mounting screws. Be sure to use plumber's tape on the threads to prevent leaks.
4.Attach the escutcheon plate: Attach the escutcheon plate to cover the valve and screw it into place.
5.Install the handle: Install the handle by sliding it onto the valve stem and securing it with the set screw.
6.Install the showerhead: Install the showerhead onto the shower arm and tighten it with a wrench.
